Brand and Message Platform Definition – Niche Engineering Firm; Baltimore, MD

An engineering firm in Maryland knew exactly who their audience was, and had been serving the same clientele for more than fifteen years. However, in an increasingly competitive market, they found themselves losing projects that were traditionally easy wins.

Markitecture was contracted to help the firm clearly define and communicate its unique value in a way that resonated with new decision makers – even within their existing client base. A competitive review, message platform, elevator speech and brand values were among the final deliverables in the document, created to enable senior team members of the firm communicate their strengths in a concise, consistent way.

Social Media and Web Strategy – Membership Organization; Washington, DC

A DC-based association, representing the government procurement interests of top A/E/C firms, was in need of an online communications overhaul to improve the quality of its member interactions and recruitment. The association had a powerful member database and content management system, but had yet to take advantage of its full potential or integrate social media into their overall strategy.

Markitecture partnered with the group to create a multi-phased approach and tackle each individual communications goal with the appropriate tactics. The initial deliverable was a strategy document with refined messaging and marketing recommendations, including budget and timeline. The follow up phases included website redesign and project management, social media strategy/consulting and website copywriting.

Marketing Campaign Strategy – General Contractor; Alexandria, VA

A General Contractor in Alexandria approached Markitecture with a challenge. While business for most of the company was going well, one particular subsidiary was struggling to achieve profitability and keep a steady workload.

Markitecture approached the project as an opportunity to build the subsidiary company’s brand, as well as increase its presence in the local business community. The resultant campaign strategy included recommended partnerships, association memberships, online outreach and unique events based on characteristics of the firm’s target audience. All recommendations were based on realistic goals, available resources and historic marketing budgets.
